hi there,

Is the 'SET BLASTER' string in your autoexec.bat file on your C:\ directory? is it set correctly? are the settings in it pointing to your soundblaster 16 card or your awe64 card?

Does converter give you an error when it tries to load? if so, let me know what that error is...

converter certainly does work, but people have varying system configurations, and certainly in a situation like yours where you have 2 soundblaster cards, it is important to make sure converter is pointing to the right card, and that the card is properly configured under dos...

did you follow the troubleshooting section in the manual?

let me know,
-tom

oops forgot to log in for that last post :)

a couple more things...

if your autoexec.bat is set up correctly, when you restart in msdos mode under windows, is the autoexec.bat being run? often it doesnt.... so either:

type 'autoexec' and hit enter in your root boot directory on your hard drive (usually C:\) and then run converter, or make a bootable floppy (see the instructions in the manual)

good luck,
tom
